While taking a break from dance and working in a stable with horses, a friend of mine proposed to try and film some dancing and scenes among the animals. It led to a lot of raw material that I decided to try and assemble myself. I learned by doing and enjoyed the process a lot, as it allows me to play even more with the images and movements to really match the music and feeling than I wanna portray. Years later I made a second one and I'l love to continue exploring this road.
I have also once just been in front of the camera, playing in a shirt movie portraying a young dancer ("Sur la Pointe" by Valentine Stumpf) which also was a great experience who taught me a lot.

Animal Wave
Camera & direction: Lachlan Phillips | Dancing & editing: Alice Bertschy
The concept was no concept, it's returning to a more intuitive and primitive feeling for dance, being playful, spontaneous, unfiltered and well, somewhat more animal. I let people feel what they wanna feel, and try to provoke also a tiny bit of "disconfort", which can awaken different feelings, urges or things sometimes forgotten.

Animal Wave . 2
Camera, dancing, editing : Alice Bertschy
Sister project of Animal wave, same concept but different place and time, plus, for this one I was the one filming too using my handy, which added a dimension of being totally alone in the project, lost in my feelings, which had good and bad sides, but thought me some things in the process.

(N)ever Wish | Animal Wave . 3
Camera, dancing, editing : Alice Bertschy
Third video project where I once again was filming dancing and editing. Again started without a proper concept or plan, just improvised with my surrounding, trying to explore every angle. The place somehow seemed to lead me on a journey around it, playing hide and seek with the audience and with myself, but again, letting space for each to interpret or feel as they do.

Sur La Pointe
Direction, script, scenario : Valentine Stumpf | Camera: Vincent Pili
Short movie portraying the small journey of a young woman to stand up for herself and pursue her dream. My first experience playing in a short movie also as an actress, which was a scary but great experience.
